Ismene

I will write about Ismene because my birthday is on May 6.I like Antigone its a really good book.

The quote that represents Ismene is "Ah! are you thinking of burying Polyneices? It's against the will of the city, the will of King!.I think that represents her personality because she respects the king and wants to follow the rules. She don't want to break the rules even it is her blood on the other hand antigone is totally the opposite of Ismene and have a complete different point of view. She still remember and recalls how shamefully her father died and will have the same if they don't follow Creon's law. She is afraid that she can't go can't go against the whole city and women can't go against men. In my opinion Ismene doesn't stand up for herself and don't want to break or get insulted like their father. She is afraid for her sister and tells her to keep it a secret. She wants antigone to succeed but it's impossible. Ismene is really still caring on the shame that his father and his mistakes over in her life. So,she is a very rule following person.
